Mexicana Universal 2018 finale will be held on May 27, 2018, in Acapulco, Guerrero where 32 candidates will compete for the national title. Mexicana Universal 2017 Denisse Franco will crown her successor at the end of the event.

This will be the first edition of Mexicana Universal 2018 since before the contest was held under the name Nuestra Belleza. The winner of Mexicana Universal 2018 will represent her country in Miss Universe 2018.

But before the finale, let us take a look at the top contenders, in our opinion, for the first edition of Mexicana Universal in a series of features.

María José Hernández was crowned Mexicana Universal Querétaro 2017 on 22nd February 2018 at the event held in Hotel Viña del Cielo. The 25-year-old has been continuing at a steady pace in the competition. She was saved both the weeks, which means that Maria is on the right path to the crown.

Standing 175 cm tall, María does one of the best catwalks in the competition. With excellent communication skills which are one of the most essential things going forward as a national queen, María is definitely our one of the favourite picks for the competition.

Having a Lic in Primary Education, María also believes in love oneself above all first. For the competition, she remarked, “Una Mexicana Universal es una mujer que decide amarse todos los dias” (translation – A Mexicana Universal is a woman who decides to love herself every day).

Do you think the Mexican beauty has what it takes to reach the top spot in the competition? Will she be able to survive the next 6 weeks of the competition? Let us know in the comments section below.
