Canada has a new licence holder for the Miss World pageant, and it is none other than the most loved pageant coach of Canada Michelle Weswaldi. Miss World Canada is an annual national beauty pageant that selects Canada’s representative to the Miss World pageant.

Michelle Weswaldi will take on the duties and responsibilities as the director from the year 2017, and the organisation will start accepting applications for 2017 in September/ October. Michelle promises to bring about some amazing changes to the pageant. Michelle said that there will be provincial pageants and the winner of each region will then represent their State at the national finale. She is very positive about bringin Canada back on the pageant map of Miss World. The official announcement was also made by Micelle Weswaldi on her Facebook handle. “BIG ANNOUCEMENT

They say if you can go out with a BANG … Do it, and that is exactly what I have done. On Saturday night the world watched as Siera Bearchell captured the Miss Universe Canada Crown which makes two wins for me in the last 6 years. I met Siera back in 2009 when she applied for Miss Teenage Saskatchewan, a house fire almost prevented her from entering but it was her destiny. I interviewed her 3 days before the pageant and she won her province and went on to win Miss Teenage Canada 2009. I then took her to compete in the then Miss Teen World Pageant where she placed 2ndt runner up. Later I went on to train her for the 2013 Miss Universe Canada pageant where she placed again 1st runner up. In 2015 she entered my Miss Supranational pageant and won and went on to represent Canada at Miss Supranational 2015 and placed 1st runner. Its been a 7 year stretch; I watch this adorable 16 year old with a smile that could light up any room develop into a stunning outspoken mature young lady. She has won countless awards for humanitarian work and excelled academically. I could not be more proud. Her win also marks the year that I retire from training girls for Miss Universe Canada and other Canadian Franchises so that is what I mean I am going out with a BANG. SO THANK YOU SIERA ! I have had the pleasure of working personally with Canada's exceptionally stunning, overachieving female leaders and I am so proud of each and every one of you. Most I met and picked out from my Teen Pageant, some came through my model search and Miss Supranational Pageant. It makes me smile everyday when I see my news feed and read the amazing things you each do, and you prove that women can have both Beauty and Brains, and can accomplish anything they put their minds too. In the past 7 years each one of my girls have placed in the top 20 and many all the way to top 5 at Miss Universe Canada – Chelsae D won my first MUC Crown in 2011 this girl also competed in my Teen program against Siera in 2009 and placed 4th runner up, I took Chelsae to Brazil for Miss Global Teen and trained for MUC. Katie Starke( Katherine Anne), Suzette Hernandez, Gabriela Clesca Vallejo each placed as semi finalists at Miss Supranational and Siera Bearchell placed 1st runner up. Delaney Holley was the first Canadian to place at Miss Intercontinental 2014 placing 4th runner up and the list continues with my continued placements in international Teen pageants and other competitions. Whether, I am a good teacher, or just know how to pick winners who knows, I can be demanding, I can push the girls they may get mad at me but I do it because I know what they are capable of and I believe in them. My Career began in 2008 when I launched Miss Teenage Canada, and I never dreamed it would grow to the level it has. I launched Top Model Search Canada in 2014 which I am thrilled to say was a instant success and we are doing exactly what we set out to do launch international modeling careers. And Now my friends…. I am EXCITED and THRILLED to announce that I am the new Licence holder of MISS WORLD CANADA Beginning in 2017! We will begin accepting applications for 2017 Miss World Canada in September/October There are going to be some amazing changes- To begin with it coming back to Toronto – Next we will be holding Provincial Pageants following the same format as my teen program, our national finalists will each hold titles in their cities and have to compete in their province to go to nationals SO PAGEANT PEOPLE … I hope you ready for CANADA to BE BACK AT MISS WORLD!
