The finale of Miss Guinea Ecuatorial 2022 was held at Parque Nacional de Malabo in Malabo on 17th September 2022 where Alba Isabel Obama was crowned Miss Universe Equatorial Guinea 2022 and will represent the country at Miss Universe 2022.
Alba Isabel Obama hails from Mbini, Rio Muni, Equatorial Guinea. She bested thirteen other delegates to win the crown. Alba speaks Spanish, English and French. This professional model desires to pursue a degree in Law and aspires to be an example of empowerment to women.
Not new to the pageantry, in 2019, Alba represented the Equatorial Guinea at Miss Supranational 2019 and competed against 76 other candidates in Poland. She was unplaced but she won the Supramodel of the Year Africa award.
In 2020, she was recognized as the best model of the Salon International du Textile Africain (SITA). The 20-year-old works for the Partido Democrático de Guinea Ecuatorial (PDGE) as a protocol officer for the second deputy secretary general.
Also at the finale, Vanila Ebibeyin was adjudged as the first runner-up and elected Miss World Equatorial Guinea 2022. She will represent the country at Miss World 2022. Maria Marta Asong was adjudged as the second runner-up and designated Miss International Equatorial Guinea 2022 and will represent her country at the next edition of Miss International.
