2021 started on a unhappy note for the pageantry as Miss Aguascalientes 2019 Ximena Hita was found dead in her home on 1st January 2021. She was just 21 years of age. The cause of death is yet to be revealed.

Ximena was a nursing student and was also working as a paramedic. Miss Mexico organization also took to their official social media to reveal the unfortunate news in a post captioned, “Dear Miss Mexico Family, There is no correct way to communicate such unfortunate news as this - The confirmation of the death of Ximena Hita Miss Aguascalientes, whom we met, appreciated and admired, fills us with pain and sadness, who will forever remain in our memories.”

“Ximena, we will always remember you; Thank you for all your love for building an inclusive society with values, your legacy we will always carry. We deeply regret his departure and express our condolences to his family, friends and the state coordination of@missaguascalientesorg. Rest in Peace”, the organization added.

The news was all the more shocking for people because just few hours ago, Ximena answered questions from her followers through Instagram stories where a few also expressed their passion for her profession.

Ximena has left a void in the hearts of thousands of people who supported her career. Aguascalientes municipality police determined that it was a suicide carried out inside her home but an official statement is yet to be made.
