Leïla Veslard crowned Miss Aquitaine 2020 for Miss France 2021

Leïla Veslard was crowned Miss Aquitaine 2020 on 29th August 2020 Theater Quintaou d'Angle during an evening behind closed doors, without an audience. She will represent the province at the Miss France 2021 competition. She succeeded She thus succeeds Miss Aquitaine 2019 Justine Delmas for the title.

Hailing from the city of Saint-Mesmin, Leïla is 18-years-old and stands 177 cm tall; she is a professional singer, dancer, fashion enthusiast who has just obtained a literary baccalaureate. She is the daughter of Nathalie Legay; a renowned accordionist from the region, she has always been immersed in the world of music. With this new crown, she wishes to support the fight which is close to her heart "the defense of children, whether they be sick or abused children. After she was announced as the winner, she stated, “I am extremely honored. and surprise tonight. I cannot really realize for the moment.” She is excited to represent the province at Miss France 2021 stage and believes that she will perform her best at the competition.

This is a real consecration for Leïla Veslard, who received the crown and the scarf of Miss Aquitaine 2020, after that of Miss Périgord 2020. She had mentioned, “Being in contact with the public, for me, is very strong. It’s one of the greatest emotions that can exist.”

Leïla becomes the eighth regional Miss to be sure to compete next December at the national level. She has started to prepare herself for the finale competition and has thanked everyone who has supported her throughout her journey. Miss France 2020 Clémence Botino, and the boss Sylvie Tellier graced the event with their presence along with few relatives of the delegates. Moreover, the mask was imposed for everyone, and the rules of social distancing were respected between the participants. Miss France 2020 Clémence Botino will crown her successor in December 2020.
