Miss Arizona USA 2020 held its coronation night on 5th January 2020 in Mesa Arts Center where stunning beauties from all over the state competed for the title and at the end of the event finale, Yesenia Vidales was crowned the new queen. She is now the official representative of Arizona in Miss USA 2020. Yesenia succeeds and was crowned by Miss Arizona USA 2019 Savannah Wix who ended her reign quoting, “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”
Yesenia Vidales held the title of Miss Uptown Phoenix USA 2020 as she participated in the state pageant. She bested thirty- three other contestants to win the state title as she performed with excellence and grace. Not new to the pageantry, she also holds the title of Miss Arizona Latina 2017. The newly crowned queen’s court included –
First Runner-Up – Alexa Zellers
Second Runner-Up – Isabel Ticlo
Third Runner-Up – Andrea Nicole Valera
Fourth Runner-Up – McKenzie Jones
Other than the winner and her court, the contestants who also made it to Top 16 were Keysia Curry, Kim Artounian, Samantha Landsman, Cecilia Rodriguez, Holli Peters, Rachel Voltz, Connor Malone, Britni Elbert, Alexia Lorch, Blair Puleo, Candace Kanavel, Paige Guiliani.
A number of special awards were also given at the competition which were as follows; Keysia Curry representing East Valley won the Miss Congeniality award, Rachel Voltz representing Phoenix won the Miss Photogenic award while Alexia Lorch representing Saguaro took home the People’s Choice award.
Also at the competition, Miss Teen Arizona USA 2020 was crowned who will get the opportunity to represent her state at Miss Teen USA 2020. Molly Schwanz of North Scottsdale won the Teen award as she succeeded and was crowned by Miss Teen USA 2019 Jordan Waller. Molly revealed her emotions on being crowned in a post quoted, “Hi everyone!! My name is Molly Schwanz and I am so proud and humble to be your new Miss Arizona Teen USA 2020! I can’t wait to share my year with everyone and for all of you to get to know me!! Here’s to the best year yet!” Her court also included McKenzie Lindhag, Ashley Brady, Lauren Dorn and Grace Lincoln who were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
