Candace Kanavel was crowned Miss Arizona USA 2023 at the finale of the state pageant held on 29th May 2023 at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts in Gilbert, Maricopa County, Arizona. Candace will now prepare to represent Arizona at Miss USA 2023.
Candace Kanavel bested 34 other candidates to win the title. Candace Leigh Kanavel is a police officer by profession and hails from Tempe, Maricopa County, Arizona. Kanavel attended Santa Teresa High School in San Jose and Arizona State University in Tempe. In December 2018, she graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice.
The newly crowned Miss Arizona USA 2023 Candace Kanavel’s court included –
1st Runner-up – Jordyn Owen
2nd Runner-up – Khayla Munir
3rd Runner-up – Zari Chacon
4th Runner-up – Sammi Landsman
5th Runner-up – Victoria Jackson
Top 16 also included Diya Sengupta, Alexandria Murphy, DeVonne Ryter, Yara Solorzano, Shania Brenon, MacKeznie Apple, Katarina White, Alyson Bliss, Celine Anke and Chloe Stephens.
Along with Candace, Peyton Stuewe was crowned Miss Arizona Teen USA 2023 as she became the official representative of Arizona at Miss Teen USA 2023. Makena Hook, Maddy Kunis, Sophie Clyne, Billie Fechter and Helena Reardon were adjudged as the first, second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up respectively.
