Miss Aruba is an annual international pageant that selects the most deserving and beautiful Aruban beauties and sends them to various international pageants. Traditionally the winner of Miss Aruba will represent her country at Miss Universe. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent. In 2012, Miss Aruba for Miss Universe has been selected by the separate pageant. In 2013 the format from Miss Aruba winner for the Miss Universe pageant returned. Last year, Kimberly Julsing competed at Miss Universe 2018, where she could not secure a spot in the conclusion. Therefore, this year’s edition will be more of hopes and desires from the new queens to secure a position in any of these international pageants.
