The 50th edition of Miss Asia Pacific International will be held in Manila, Philippines with the competition beginning from 14th September 2018 to 4th October 2018. The reigning Miss Asia Pacific International is Francielly Ouriques of Brazil who will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. She was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 on 29 November 2017.

Only open to delegates from Asia and Oceania, Miss Asia Pacific International was founded in 1968 as Miss Asia Quest. The pageant was renamed Miss Asia Pacific Quest in 1985 when delegates from the Americas were given the right to compete at the pageant.
In 2005, the pageant was again renamed to Miss Asia Pacific International as contestants from all over the world were allowed to compete. After 2005, the competition was not held till 2016 when the pageant was revived and its headquarters were set up in Philippines.
Philippines holds 4 wins at the coveted pageant (1982,1983, 1989, 1993) while Korea holds 3 titles under its belt (in 1969, 1995, 2002). India also holds 3 wins at the competition (in 1970, 1973 and 2000) along with Australia who also has 3 wins (1972, 1974 and 1980). Thailand comes next with 3 titles under their name (1978, 1988 and 1997) and Costa Rica holds 3 titles too (1996, 1998, 2005).
