Miss Aura International 2021 Alexandra Faith Garcia appointed as Philippines’ Food Security Ambassador

The Department of Agriculture- Philippines has officially designated Miss Aura International 2021 Alexandra Faith Garcia as Ambassador on Food Security. She joins several Ambassadors of the Department of Agriculture including Agri Biz Founder Cherrie Atilano and actor James Reid. Secretary William Dar formally conferred the Certificate of Appointment to Garcia at the Office of the Secretary, Department of Agriculture in Quezon City.

Alexandra represented Philippines at the Miss Aura International 2021 pageant last month in Antalya city, Turkey where she was crowned as the winner at the end of the event. Standing tall at 170 cm, Alexandra, hailing from Olongapo, Philippines has graduated with a degree in BS Tourism from the Columban College. She has trained in every physical aspect under the Kagandahang Flores Camp and has a presentable experience in pageantry as she displayed at the international platform and made her country proud.

 

 

After being crowned as Miss Aura International 2021, Garcia took to her social media as she wrote, “The feeling is still so surreal. This moment was just a dream for the longest time and now it is a reality. This was truly God’s plan. I’m still in awe with all of the things that had happened. Thank you so much everyone for the love & support that you have given me. It would not be possible without all of you. We did it, Philippines! Your Miss Aura International 2021.”

The appointment is the start of a wonderful partnership to promote farming to the younger generation. The appointment is special to Garcia since one of her advocacies to engage Filipinos to get into agriculture. Garcia will also be joining programs, shows and several activities around the country to inform the public on the main advocacies of the Department specifically its campaign on Food Security and Food Accesibilty.
