Facing racial comments all over social media just a couple of days after her crowning, as Miss Belgium 2018, could have brought down the morale of any woman, but not Angeline. She handled the situation with grace and poured her heart out about the unfortunate event. She started her reign strong, and has only gotten better by the day.
Thus, we at Angelopedia, are celebrating the young queen, with a will of steel and a heart of gold, on her completion of the first month as Miss Belgium 2018. At a grand finale night held at Plopsa Theater de Panne, Angeline Flor Pua was crowned the 50th Miss Belgium.
Born on April 17, 1995, Angeline is the daughter of Filipino parents who met in Belgium. She is in her third year of training as a pilot in civil aviation - as the only woman in a class of eight at the BAFA Flight Academy - and had to earn 100,000 euros, to pay for her education. Her father is a Filipino sailor and her mother is also a Filipino who works in an ironing room. Thus, Angeline took up various jobs to pay the humongous fee.
Since her crowning, Angeline has given precedence to her duties as the ambassador of Belgium over her personal charity work.
Here is her journey in the first month of her reign.
Angeline met Prince Laurent at the Velofollies fair in Kortrijk. She also paid a visit to the Minerva stand during Velofollies and was gifted a scooter.
Angeline visited Europe on January 24, in Belgium at the invitation of MEP Hilde Vautmans and met Anneleen Van Bossuyt, Bart Staes, Lieve Wierinck and Guy Verhofstadt.
Angeline Flor Pua and Patrick Ridremont were awarded the Best Album award of the year at the D6bels Music Awards.
Angeline, Miss Belgium 2018, attended the Mia's reunion.
Angeline presented the award, Golden K for Best Band of 2017 during the Gala of the Golden K's of Ketnet.
Angeline was present at the Premiere of Fifty Shades Freed.
