The official search for the next Miss Cambodia has begun as the Miss Cambodia organization has announced the opening of applications for Miss Cambodia 2018. Romyr Libo-on, Managing Director of Arise Agency and organizer of Miss Cambodia pageant made the official announcement to welcome all beautiful and confident young ladies of the Kingdom of Cambodia to come and register for the competition.

The main requirements that an applicant should fulfil are –

·       Natural born female citizen of Cambodia

·       Between 18 and 25 years of age

·       Single and never been married

·       Have never given birth

·       Minimum height of 168cm

·       With good moral character

·       Has good knowledge of Cambodia's culture

·       Not under contract in any company or agency

The applicants have to submit a filled out application form along with one close up and full body shot photo together with the original, photocopy of ID card or birth certificate and a Cambodian passport if available.

The winner of Miss Cambodia pageant is generally expected to represent Cambodia in Miss Universe international pageant. While the runners-up of the contest mainly represent Cambodia in Miss Earth, Miss Tourism Queen of the Year and Miss Tourism Metropolitan pageant.

Last year the second edition of Miss Cambodia was held and Rern Nat was crowned Miss Cambodia 2017. She represented Cambodia in Miss Universe 2017.

The main slogan of Miss Cambodia is ‘Beauty of My Kingdom’ that symbolizes the Beauty, Charm and Elegance of the traditional yet modern Cambodian woman. The girls who apply for Miss Cambodia come from all walks of life to present the idea of an independent strong Cambodian woman.
