Thailand’s Nutnicha Srithongsuk revealed her national costume inspired by the ‘Naga’ for Miss Chinese World 2021

The organization of Miss Chinese World will be hosting the virtual ceremony for Miss Chinese World 2021 on 18th August 2021 where delegates from all over the world will represent their respective countries and compete for the crown.

Thailand had appointed Nutnicha Srithongsuk, Miss Grand Thailand 2020 fourth runner-up, as their official representative for the title a few weeks ago. The diva recently took to her social media to reveal her national costume for the competition and it is as majestic as the inspiration behind it. The costume, ‘Pathumma Nakinee Kanlayanee Srisuttho’ is designed by Star In Side and inspired by the ‘Naga’, a large serpent a large snake whose status is the guardian deity of Buddhism according to legend.

 

 

Faith has created ‘Pathumma Nakinee Kanlayanee Srisuttho’ costume that conveys the beauty of Sripathumma Naga through the wearer, and then embodies the appearance of the exquisite snake king. Kham Chanot is considered a sacred city in Udon Thani Province, the Mekong River area in Northeastern Thailand. which is believed to be the land connecting the underground world with the human world together with father, grandfather, Srisuttho, mother, grandmother, Sripatumma and the great serpent god in this land.It is believed that it is a gateway guarded by the Snake King Srisuttho and Sripathumma Naga.

Such beliefs began the series of inspirations for the national costume of Thailand which conveys the beauty of Mother Ya Sri Pathum through the wearer. The fictional image of the Naga, that is full of exquisiteness, compliment the elegance. The costume conveys the worship and belief of the Snake King by Thais living in the Mekong River Basin and demonstrates the power of strong faith of the Thai people in the Mekong River with great and magical serpent image.

Although the official launch of the national costume will be held on August 18th, this reveal by the Thai diva has left all the pageant fans spellbound. The costume is a majestic display of their culture and beliefs. This costume accompanied with Nutnicha’s positive attitude towards winning, experience, and learning from Miss Grand Thailand 2020, will be a sight to watch. She is strong, beautiful, dedicated, and focused on acing herself before the competition and performing her best at the competition to make the people of Thailand proud.
