At the nerve wracking finale of Miss Costa Rica 2015 held on August 7’ 2015 at Marco Picado Study Brenda Castro was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2015. Brenda succeeds the very beautiful Karina Ramos who represented Cost Rica at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant but was unplaced. Unfortunately, Brenda might not compete at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant due to its withdrawal after the controversial Donald Trump statement about Latins.
Cost Rica has participated at the Miss Universe since 1954 and has sent 56 representatives till date to the pageant. Since the year 1960, the pageant has been broadcast by Telecita. Brenda competed with eight other finalists to clinch the title to her name. The gorgeous ladies competed at different layers of events, including swimsuit and evening gown. Based on the two rounds, the Top 3 finalists were announced - Ivonne Cerdas, Nicole Carboni Renault and Brenda Castro. After a series of Question and Answer round, Bendra was announced as the winner, followed by Ivonne Cerdas who was adjudged as the second runner-up and Nicole Carboni Renault who was adjudged as first runner-up.
