The newly crowned queen is 23 years-old and is taking up law. She is pursuing Masters in Business Law, is a literary advocate, photo model and definitely an excellent choice to represent Ivorian beauty. The coronation night was also graced by the presence of the reigning Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska, Miss World Europe 2021 Anna Leitch of Northern Ireland and Julia Morley, President of the Miss World organization.

Marlène’s aim for her reign involves proving to the young women that they can achieve their goals and dreams with enough willpower, courage and hard work. “A woman can study law and be a beauty queen at the same time. To all young women, we are capable of great things,” she shared.

The diva further added, “Want to know what makes my eyes sparkle? A Woman Leader. A woman leader assumes her personality and will never let anyone trample her principles and values. She establishes her professional, family and social goals and works to achieve them. And she makes women's voices grow with her. This woman leader can be each of us.”

She is also an avid promoter of culture as she shared, “Culture is the very possibility of creating, renewing and sharing values. With the advent of new technologies, the world is changing, and so are minds. In Ivory Coast, our traditions are our greatest strength. I am proud of our interbreeding, but also proud of all the rich cultural heritage that makes our country shine.”

As Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2021 Olivia bid adieu to her title, she shared, “Tonight, I will pass on the crown thinking of the happiness I have had in serving my nation. Above all, I will pass on this wreath with a deep sense of gratitude. Indeed, I received more than I expected. I received esteem, I received honor, I received love Thank you all without exception! I will always carry you in my heart!”

Marlène will represent Côte d’Ivoire at the upcoming 71st edition of the international competition, Miss World 2022. She succeeds the very successful and inspiring queen, Miss World Africa 2021 and the second runner-up of Miss World 2021 Olivia Yace for the national title. Kouassi definitely has some big shoes to fill in.
