Tara Gueye crowned Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2019

At the coronation night of Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2019 held at the Palais des Congrès Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, Tara Gueye was crowned the new queen and became the official representative of Côte d’Ivoire in Miss World 2019. She succeeds Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2017 Mandjalia Gbané.

Tara is 22 years of age and is currently a student of Economics. She bested 26 other ladies win the national crown. The newly crowned queen Tara Gueye’s court included –

First Runner-Up – Irié Satya

Second Runner-Up – Leila Koné

Third Runner-Up – Calixte Lavry

Fourth Runner-Up – Leaticia Deza

Tara took to her official social media to express her emotions in a post captioned, “We are finally in the open; and if there is one thing that I remember from this incredible adventure is that it is sometimes to dream but it must always put a lot of courage and determination to achieve his dreams. I never thought I would be here and have such support. I doubted, yes I doubted, but your love lifted me up and I became stronger than ever, ready to go to the end. It is overwhelmed with emotions that I reiterate my sincere thanks. You are mine now and forever.If love makes it possible to conquer the most improbable victories, ours has allowed me to develop myself to become the young woman that I am today.”

Ivory Coast is yet to win the Miss World crown. The country did not send a representative to Miss World last year as its last participation was in 2017. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen.
