Karnataka’s Divita Rai, who was recently crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022, received a grand homecoming in her hometown as she landed in Mangalore. Amidst loud cheers and applause, Divita was welcomed by her family and friends.

Divita’s parents and brother came to pick her up at the airport and greeted her with hugs and kisses. Divita’s father, on her win and her grand homecoming, exclaimed, “We are very thankful to Times Group for organising this homecoming. Her friends and well-wishers were really sweet to come and receive her. It is a matter of great pride for us, as a girl from this town has won the title of Miss Diva Universe and is visiting the city, wearing the crown.”

“Divita is very determined about her work and what she wants to do, and I hope she continues to put in the same effort as there is more for her to achieve. Our best wishes for her to win Miss Universe”, he added.

Divita also greeted her grandparents with joy and sought their blessings for her future journey as she prepares for her upcoming stint at Miss Universe 2022.

On receiving such a grand homecoming, Divita exclaimed, “I just stepped out of the airport and saw my grandparents, which was overwhelming. This dream, this journey started with my grandmother; she was the one who instilled that confidence in me when I was young.”

“So having her hug me and having my grandfather there felt like it was not just my win but theirs too. I feel so blessed to have a family like them, the kind of support I have received. I wish every girl gets to live this dream and experience this love”, she concluded.
