There is a misconception that two girls cannot be friends, and if the girls are beauty pageant contestants, that too of the same pageant, chances are real slim. But, time and again the girls have proven that that is actually not true. Be it the friendship of Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen and first runner-up Carolina Gómez, or the sisterhood between the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and first runner-up Olivia Jordan, we have quite often seen the girls showing off their strong bond.

Among the list of BFF’s we have a new duo joining in – Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Gabrena Ong and Miss Earth Air 2015 Daryanna Grageda. Both the queens transferred their reign and their crown to their successor on the eve of 29th October 2016 at the finals of Miss Earth 2016. During their reign, both the Earth Warriors were seen visiting places and attending events together, which eventually led to the budding of their friendship. And as their reign came to an end, Angelia posted the sweetest message for her Earth sister on her Instagram. She wrote...

“I'm glad that you're back safe in Australia. It feels so weird without you here. We've had almost a month of crazy adventures and I'm glad I shared it with you. You are one of the most sincere person I've ever met. You're also the prettiest and sexiest slowpoke I'll ever meet. ??haha You know you'll always have a home here with me. Miss Earth 2016 was the sixteenth edition of the pageant. Katherine Elizabeth Espín Gómez of Ecuador was crowned as the winner. At the same pageant, Miss Colombia Michelle Alejandra Gómez was titled the Miss Earth Air 2016, Miss Venezuela Stephanie Ysabel de Zorzi was adjudged the Miss Earth Water 2016, and Miss Brazil Bruna Zanardo finished as the Miss Earth Fire 2016.
