Katherine Espin, Angelia Ong and Jamie Herrell recently took part in the National Blood Donor’s Month event. They all passed on the message to the people to donate blood. The celebration took place at the Philippine Blood Center on 18th July and the beauties took on the responsibility to motivate people for a noble deed like this.
The motto of the event was to give blood, give now and give often. With this, the Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial, said that this year's celebration of National Blood Donor’s Month is focused on raising women's awareness that blood donation is not restricted to just men.
She said, “We are changing the mindset that not only males can donate blood. The campaign aims to boost consciousness of all potential female volunteer blood donors to donate blood.”Under the DOH's National Voluntary Blood Service Program, reigning Miss Earth, Katherine Espin, Miss Earth 2015, Angelia Gabrena Ong and Miss Earth 2014, Jamie Herrell launched a 30 sec advertisement that promotes blood donation among women.
The beauties enthusiastically passed on the great message and also encouraged them to find the hero within to do such life-saving deeds frequently. This was a great initiative and will surely motivate the people.
