So, the first half of the international pageant series has ended and the countries are celebrating the victory of their respective queens. One such pageant is the Miss Earth 2016 pageant. For the first time in the pageant history, the Top 4 included all Latinas.
Recently, the Miss Earth winners were interviewed by the official media partner of Miss Earth, ABS CBN. During the interview, the beauties said that they are slowly getting used to the life in the Philippines, and are excited to work together in promoting environmental projects. The beauties shared their experience of staying in the Philippines and claimed that the country is very similar to their own countries.
Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin of Ecuador along with Miss Earth Air Michelle Gomez of Colombia and Miss Earth Fire Bruna Zanardo of Brazil shared that they found the weather in the Philippines similar to their native countries because of the warm weather. What they liked about the Philippines is their hospitality.
Katherine Espin also talked about the controversial statement of Imelda Schweighart surrounding her victory. Espin said that she has not yet had any word with Imelda about the whole issue. “I haven’t been able to talk to Ms. Philippines but I already clarified the situation so I think that is already solved. I have not reached her yet but I don’t think this will go on,” Espina said on "Morning’s @ ANC," said Katherine.
