Philippines leads the Miss Earth 2017 Medal Tally

Miss Earth 2017 is on its road to finals which will take place tomorrow at Mall of Asia Arena, Philippines. While some contenders have had a slow start, the others have already proved their worth in the competition. The lovely Karen Ibasco from Philippines has topped the chart of Final Medal Tally.

With a total of 5 Medals - 3 Gold in Press Presentation (Darling of the Press), Swimsuit, National Costume and 2 Silver in Long Gown and Resort Wear, Karen is proving herself the topmost contenders in Miss Earth 2017.

Not far behind is Lê Thi Hà Thu from Vietnam with 5 Medals – 3 Gold in Miss Photogenic, Resort Wear, Miss Earth Warrior and 2 Bronze in Long Gown and Talent.

Trailing behind is Lada Akimova from Russia who has won a total of 4 Medals – 3 Gold in Talent, Resort Wear, National Costume and 1 Bronze in Swimsuit.

Puerto Rico’s Karla Victoria Aponte went with 3 Gold Medals in Best in Eco-Video Presentation, Swimsuit and Long Gown.

Venezuela’s Ninoska Vásquez has won 2 Gold Medals in Resort wear, Long Gown while 2 silver in Swimsuit, National Costume and a bronze in Miss Photogenic.

Peru’s representative Karen Rojas also won 4 medals in total – 1 Gold in Long Gown, 1 Silver in swimsuit and 2 Bronze in Resort Wear and Miss Friendship.

Artemis Charalambous from Cyprus won 2 medals – 1 Gold in Talent and 1 Silver in National Costume, Guatemala’s Maria Jose Castañeda won 2 medals - 1 Gold in National Costume and 1 Silver in Talent, while Japan’s Yasuko Saito has won 1 gold medal in Miss Friendship and 1 bronze medal in National Costume.

Bolivia, Ghana, Portugal won one gold medal each in National Costume Round.

Korea and Tonga won one gold medal each in Miss Friendship round.

Australia and Crimea went away with 1 gold medal each in Swimsuit Competition and Talent round respectively.
