Analysing the major international pageants of 2016, the beauties from Miss Earth pageant appear to be the busiest. From travelling to various destinations, to working on different fields, from fulfilling their duties to managing photoshoots, the Miss Earth beauty queens are everywhere. When we say Miss Earth beauty queens, we don’t just mean the winner; neither are we just talking about the 2016 queens.
As per the latest announcement by the Miss Earth Organisation, Miss Earth Air 2016 Michelle Gomez and Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell will be travelling to Ghana on April 18 for the Trash in Bin campaign launch. “Trash in Bin” campaign is an initiative to keep the world clean by throwing the garbage in the bin and not just anywhere else. The campaign will be launched in Ghana, for which the two beauties will be heading towards the country.

In another event, the Miss Philippines Earth queens recently visited the “Booming City by the Bay" Bislig City, to work on various social projects and to promote tourism. The beauties included, Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell, Miss Philippines Water 2015 CJ Marin, Miss Philippines Earth 2016 runner-up Bellatrix Tan, Miss Philippines Eco- tourism 2016 Charinna Barro, Miss Philippines Fire 2016 Tim Alsowyed, Miss Philippines Water 2016 Melanie Mader, Miss Philippines Air 2016 Shannon Bridgman and Miss Philippines Earth 2016 Loren Mar Artejos. The beauties explored the various tourist attraction that the city had to offer, not only to experience the culture of Bislig but also to participate in various environmental activities, promote eco-tourism and do school tours.
Also, Katherine Espin and Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong will be travelling to Angola for their duties as the Earth Warriors. The scheduled stay in Angola for the two is between April 20th to 24th. Katherine has always talked about working towards creating awareness on Climate Change. According to Katherine, people’s interest plays an important role in this problem. In addition to raising awareness about climatic change, the beauty queen said she would also promote eco-tourism among big companies, and bring in to practice the five environmental Rs - reuse, reduce, recycle, rethink and respect.
