Helen Latukefu was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2023 on Saturday, 9th September 2023 at the Tang Media Performing Arts Centre in Smithfield as she became the official representative of Australia at Miss Earth 2023. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth Australia 2022 Sheridan Mortlock.

Helen Latukefu, of Tongan and Scottish descent, has had a remarkable journey. She is an advocate for a greener and more sustainable future. An accomplished performer and champion of Australian Poetry Slam Youth of 2018, Helen graced the iconic Sydney Opera House stage. As Miss Earth Australia 2023, Helen has the perfect platform to amplify her voice and bring about meaningful change on a global scale. She has a deep-rooted passion for biodiversity conservation and has unwavering dedication to protecting the natural world.

 

 

Helen has also expressed her respect towards the traditional custodians of Australia's land who have an invaluable role in preserving Australia for countless generations. She is forever thankful to the Dharug people of the Bidjigal clan where she was born, grew up, and advocate for.

Through the international platform, Helen has been actively advocating for a greener, more sustainable future. With her unwavering passion and commitment, Helen will inspire individuals across the globe to take action and protect the planet for generations to come.

 

 

Helen’s story is an example for everyone who possess the ability to champion positive change and work on making Earth a more beautiful space for the generations to come. She will definitely be a strong contender for the Miss Earth Australia 2023 crown.

Miss Earth 2023, the 23rd edition of Miss Earth, will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 22nd December 2023 where Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi of South Korea will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
