Cabo Verde is all set to debut the country’s participation at Miss Earth as Tayrine da Veiga has been appointed Miss Earth Cabo Verde 2022 and has become the official representative of Cabo Verde at Miss Earth 2022.

Cabo Verde is 24 years of age and a public relations law student. The stunning beauty is also a professional model and travel agency coordinator. Not new to the national pageant, she was adjudged as the first runner-up at the Miss Cabo Verde International pageant held on 3rd September 2022 in Praia.

On winning the national title, Tayrine took to her official social media as she wrote, “It is with great satisfaction that I announce here the first Miss Earth Cape Verde. For the first time Cape Verde will have a representative in Miss Earth in November in the Philippines. It's a lot of responsibility to carry 10 islands on your back, each one with its particularities. I count on each of you to continue together in this new phase of my life. Anxious and enthusiastic I prepare to make my people proud of me. I promise to take all the best we have, to make Cape Verde increasingly known for our Culture and our Morabeza. Let's leave a flag as a form of support.”

Tayrine wants to advocate for her country as an important breeding site for sea turtles through her reign. She will represent Cabo Verde at Miss Earth 2022. Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the international pageant, will be held on 29th November 2022 where Destiny Wagner of Belize will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
