The Miss Earth organization hosted the 21st edition of the international pageant on 21st November 2021 where stunning delegates from all over the world competed from their respective countries virtually. At the end of the event, Destiny Wagner of Belize was crowned as Miss Earth 2021 as she bested 89 delegates for the coveted crown.

25 years-old Destiny Wagner is a graduate with BA in Business Administration from Pace University, New York. She is a TV series host, influencer, brand ambassador and a print and commercial mode. She is also an accomplished poet and an author of two books.

Speaking of her advocacy, Destiny had earlier shared that it consists of two parts. Firstly she advocates for sustainability of marine life and conservation of our natural resources. “The Manatee research I did with ‘Clear Water Aquarium’ and my interest in the ocean, inspired me to get my Open Water Dive Certification and participate in environmental campaigns. I believe everyone should do their part by protecting Mother Earth so the next generation can reap the benefits we now enjoy,” she shared.

For its 21st edition, Miss Earth takes on the theme “Colors of the Earth” to reflect the vast and unique biodiversity of the world. The theme also alludes to the brighter outlook on 2021 coming from a rather bleak 2020 due to the pandemic.

This is the second time that the pre-pageant activities and coronation night will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The coronation was also virtually attended by the outgoing queens, Miss Earth 2020 Lindsey Coffey of USA, Miss Earth Fire 2020 Michala Rubinstein of Denmark, Miss Earth Water 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens and Miss Earth Air 2020 Steohany Zreik of Venezuela.
