Meet the elemental queens of Miss Earth 2021

The Miss Earth organization hosted the 21st edition of the international pageant on 21st November 2021 where stunning delegates from all over the world competed from their respective countries virtually. At the end of the event, Destiny Wagner of Belize was crowned as Miss Earth 2021 as she bested 89 delegates for the coveted crown.

Along with the title crown, the organization also crowned the elemental queens for this year’s edition. The stunning Top 4 finalists faced the question answer round and were judged on the basis of their performance throughout the competition.

So, without any further ado, let us meet the elemental queen of Miss Earth 2021 –

Miss Earth Fire 2021 Baitong Jareerat Petsom of Thailand

28 year-old Baitong stands 168 cm tall and an architecture graduate at the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.She is the Environmental Ambassador for the Green World Foundation and the Sustainable Ocean Ambassador from United States. She is also the founder of a sustainable lifestyle brand called Baanbaan.

Baitong aims at speaking on behalf of nature. “I want everyone to know, it can't wait. We have to change our behavior. Change the way we live. Saving the world is like helping yourself,” she says. Speaking about her advocacy, she shared, “All about environmental conservation of which I have started doing since 2005 in the Environmental Conservation Club. I began my mission from the area near home, then when I grew up, I started producing the travelling programs that giving me a chance to be a creative to implement the subject of conservation as an information.”

She also mentioned, “After having been appointed in the position of SOA (Security Operations Associate) By UNDP (United Nations Development Programs) and Environmental Ambassador of the Green World Foundation. I were enlightened that I were not only doing forest conservation, marine conservation but I were also dedicated to creating truly sustainable change. Because of conservation project to protect the environment couldn't do by one side. It's about putting everything together. So, all I have to do is a dedication to support a sustainable environment.”

 

 

Miss Earth Water 2021 Romina Denecken of Chile

Romina is a 20 years-old student of Fashion Design and Marketing, Sustainability mention, at the Instituto Marangoni, in Milan, Italy. She speaks Spanish, English, Italian and Japanese and since she was little she has practiced Artistic Gymnastics, Horse Riding, Soccer and Athletics. Through his studies, he had the opportunity to live in England, Japan and now in Italy. Romina works as a model and in 2020 she was a finalist in the Miss Chile pageant. She is also a well-known content creator on Tiktok and works as a panelist on the television program ‘More Vivi than ever’ on the TV + channel.

One of the things that Denecken feels the most compelled to change is the way in which many animals nowadays are mistreated. Hence, she advocates for their care and wellbeing, She tries to defend and expose these topics on social media and has worked with foundations that work for the same cause as well.

 

 

Miss Earth Air 2021 Marisa Butler of USA

Marisa is 27-years-old and stands 173 cm tall and has graduated from Stonehill College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Business. While at Stonehill College, Marisa was on their soccer, and lacrosse teams, as well as their club cheering team. She now is living and working in California. She is of French, English, Scottish, Irish, and Native American (Mic Mac) heritage.

Through her advocacy, ‘The Collective Earth’, she aims to teach four vital values she has learned through her own experiences with Mother Earth: Empathy, Love, Respect and Accountability. “I believe the best way to learn these values is through meaningful experiences within nature. Only when we act as a Collective Earth - with love, empathy, respect and accountability for all – can we truly begin to win the fight for Mother Earth,” she shared.
