The Miss Cambodia organization hosted the final show for the 2021 edition on 11th October 2021 which broadcasted live on Bayon TV. Stunning delegates from all over the country competed against each other for three coveted crowns and an opportunity to represent Cambodia at international beauty pageants. Dam Sopheaksindy of Pursat was crowned as Miss Earth Cambodia 2021 at the end of the event.
Pursat’s Dam Sopheaksindy is 26 years old and stands 166 cm tall. She is an Economics graduate and a professional model. Talking about her advocacy she said, “I’m supporting companies which are sustainable and ecosoil with human properties that don’t include child labour. Like the work, a child is been learned not earned. I am thankful to some of the organizations or centers who provide everything for them. The younger next generation are our future who we mustn’t overlook.”
Dam succeeds Miss Earth Cambodia 2020 Nisay Heng who was appointed to represent Cambodia at the first ever virtual pageant of Miss Earth 2020 last year. Nisay made her country proud as she won the Talent award in the singing category for the Asia and Oceania region.
Apart from the Miss Earth Cambodia 2021 title, Miss International Cambodia 2021 title was won by Chea Charany and Miss Tourism International Cambodia 2021 title was won by Mao Reaksmy, whereas Moo and Erica Tan were adjudged as the first and second runners-up respectively.
This year, the Miss Earth Organization is back with yet another virtual pageant for the 2021 edition of the competition. Miss Earth 2021 will be the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant. This is the second time that the pre-pageant activities and coronation night will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Dam Sopheaksindy will represent Cambodia at Miss Earth 2021, to be held on 21st November 2021, where Lindsey Coffey of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
