Alice Li appointed Miss Earth Canada 2021

Miss World Canada organization held the finale of the 2021 edition a day ago where Jaime VandenBerg was crowned Miss World Canada 2021 and became the representative of Canada at Miss World 2022. Also at the finale, Jessica Victoria Cianchino was crowned Miss Earth Canada 2022 as she became the official representative of Canada at Miss Earth 2022.

While for the 2021 edition of Miss Earth pageant, Laura Pastor was adjudged as the fourth runner-up at the finale of Miss World Canada 2020 after which she has earned the opportunity to represent Canada at Miss Earth 2021 stage, but in a recent development, Laura will no longer be representing the country at Miss Earth as she shared, “That was a very fast year! Although I will no longer be travelling to the Philippines this year due to last minute COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainties, I am so thankful to have represented my country as Miss Earth Canada 2021.”

 

 

As Laura steps down as Miss Earth Canada 2021, the Miss World Canada organization has appointed Alice Li as the official representative for Canada at the upcoming edition of Miss Earth pageant. Alice also took to her social media to share the news, “Introducing your MISS EARTH CANADA! Canada's representative at MISS EARTH 2021! It is an honor to wear the Canada sash across my heart one more time.”

Alice, who recently represented China at the Miss Supranational 2021 pageant in Poland last month, is 27 years-old and hails from Beijing. She is an is an entrepreneur, businesswoman who currently works as a Senior Associate in audit at PwC Canada, specializing in the asset management industry. Alice graduated from the University of Toronto as the Class Valedictorian and has completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in accounting.

The diva is not new to the world of pageantry as she represented Canada in Miss Intercontinental 2018 and later represented China at Miss Global International 2019 in Jamaica. She was also one of the finalists at Miss Universe Canada 2020 where she was highly applauded for her performance but unfortunately wasn’t placed.

 

 

“I look forward to this new role as an environmental ambassador not only for Canada, but for our planet earth. Enviromental sustainability is something that I have been working on since my younger years in school and I am grateful for this opportunity to further my advocacy,” she added.

She will soon be introduced officially by the Miss Earth organization in the ‘Getting to Know You’ session today. The 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant, Miss Earth 2021, is all set to be held virtually again this year due to the uncertainty of the ongoing pandemic situation, in November 2021. Lindsey Marie Coffey of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
