While many beauty pageant queens have taken the path of acting, being in the limelight most of the time, Miss Universe Chile 2016 Catalina Caceres chose art. Did you know your queen is an excellent artist? She was recently awarded by the Art Critics of Chile as ‘Emerging Figure’ in Visual Arts category. Seems like this queen has got many hidden talents up her sleeves, she got unanimous appreciation from all the critics at the CCU Art Gallery.
This is not the first time that Catalina has been admired for her visual art talent. She featured in a leading magazine where her artwork was faceted. Catalina takes up after her mother as her mother is also an artist.
Catalina believes in spreading happiness through her visual art and doesn’t leave an opportunity to do her bit for the society through her artistic talent. In August 2017, she auctioned two of her paintings in order to raise funds for Miss Wheelchair Chile 2017, Paula Miranda so that she could participate in the international pageant, Miss Wheelchair 2017.
Catalina started her international pageant journey with participation in Miss Earth 2014 as the representative of Chile where she failed to place. Then in 2016 Catalina became Miss Universe Chile 2016 and subsequently participated in Miss Universe 2016 but she could not mark a place for herself.
Since then she has been actively taking her artistic talent seriously while also pursuing a career in modelling. We hope she keeps up the good work and achieves greater heights.
