Miss Earth Colombia 2018 has begun to announce its official delegates who will fight for the national title in Bogota Colombia. The title is given to the woman who represents Colombia at the prestigious Miss Earth pageant, an initiative to promote environmental awareness.

Miss Earth Colombia 2017 Juliana Franco from Villavicencio represented Colombia at Miss Earth 2017. She also won Miss Earth Water 2017 at the pageant. Juliana will crown her successor at the end of the grand finale.

From Riohacha, Guajira, the 22-year-old Hillary Hollman is the ninth candidate of Miss Earth Colombia 2018. Standing 173 cm tall, Hillary is a Social Communication and Journalism major. A professional model, Hillary is a part of the One Models Management.

Hillary is the member of Young Generating Change Foundation which works for the underprivileged children in Colombia. She also wishes to focus on spreading the importance of biodiversity and natural resources

Hillary, on being appointed the Miss Earth Colombia 2018 delegate, expressed her emotions in a post on her social media, “With gratitude and complacency, I accept the designation that the contest made me Miss Earth Colombia, as the delegate of the department of La Guajira in this important event. It fills me with pride to be part of this great initiative that gives us the perfect opportunity to raise awareness in the community in general about the importance of our biodiversity and natural resources .The end is the beginning of something else.”
