Paulina Ruiz appointed Miss Earth Colombia 2021/22

Miss Earth Colombia organization, on the behalf of its President Elías Tobón and its Director Mara Borrego Cotes, appointed Paulina Ruiz as the new Miss Earth Colombia 2021/22 who will now represent Colombia at the upcoming edition of Miss Earth in Philippines. Ruiz succeeds Miss Earth Colombia 2020 Natalia Romero.

The national organization took to their official social media to make the announcement as they wrote, “The Miss Earth Colombia Organization on behalf of its President, Elías Tobón and its Director, Mara Borrego Cotes. It is allowed to inform the public opinion that they have made the decision to designate Paulina Ruiz as the new Miss Earth Colombia 2021 - 2022, who will have the privilege of representing our country in the international Miss Earth contest of Corrousel Productions Inc. based in the Philippines.”



The stunning beauty is a professional musician who graduated from the Bordeaux Conservatory in France, where she lived for 7 years. Ruiz plays the piano as an accompaniment instrument and speaks three languages namely Spanish, English and French. She is also a professional actress who graduated with honors from the School of Televisa in Mexico. She has also completed two Master's degrees, one of them in Musical Theater and the other in Vocal Coaching at the University of Touluse.

As an environmental ambassador for Colombia, Ruiz wants to promote the adoption of more sustainable lifestyles, reduce the carbon footprint and therefore the negative environmental impacts that people may cause. She has been a vegetarian for more than 8 years and is definitely a role model for the young girls in her country with all her achievements.



The Miss Earth Colombia Organization, on 18th September 2021, in commemoration of the world cleaning day, reiterated its environmental and social commitment, participating in the largest environmental action in the world with the newly appointed queen.
