In a surprising turn of events, Miss Earth Costa Rica 2018 just announced the designation of Arianna Medrano as their new Earth queen. She succeeds Miss Earth Costa Rica 2017 Fernanda Rodriguez. Arianna is now the official candidate of Costa Rica at Miss Earth 2018.

The press presentation that happened hours ago on 25th April 2018 introduced candidates to the road to Miss Earth Costa Rica 2019 who will compete for the earth title next year.

The 18-year-old diva from Puntarenas is also Miss Pacific 2018. Taking a firm responsibility to save the environment and work towards its betterment by raising awareness, Arianna has been doing her bit even before her appointment as the earth queen.

On her appointment, the social media of Costa Rica pageants was flooded with sincere congratulations to the newly appointed queen, “From Puntarenas to the Philippines! That's right, tonight was designated the beautiful Arianna Medrano as Miss Earth Costa Rica 2018, to represent us in Asia in the international contest. Arianna was designated by the organization to be the band's bearer this 2018.”

The Producer of Miss Pacific Puntarenas also shared a very sweet message for Arianna – “I was dying to tell them but they would not let me. She's Arianna Medrano Miss Earth CR 2018 Breathe my heart with happiness to see my QUEEN fulfil her dreams and happier to be part of this project. To release me as a producer and see our Miss Pacific 2018 expand those wings and see how its flight rises have no description! Here I leave you the sample of the project that together with Sharon Gómez Recio, Jonathan Chan and Jose Vásconez we managed to conclude! Today I applaud and echo this news because Puntarenas is growing big! I love seeing my province grow, I love seeing people succeed, but above all, I love seeing how they fulfil their dreams happily.”
