Miss Earth Costa Rica 2019 held its grand finale on 1st June 2018 where 9 beautiful divas competed for the national crown and the opportunity to represent Costa Rica at Miss Earth 2019. Since Arianna Medrano was recently appointed Miss Earth Costa Rica 2018, the crown to the new queen was passed on by Miss Earth Costa Rica 2017 Fernanda Rodriguez.

Vanessa Cardona, Reina Intercontinental 2016 and Ariel D Vera, a Costa Rican singer-songwriter hosted the show beautifully, making the contestants stay at ease on the stage. Linda Avila becomes the first official candidate of Miss Earth 2019.

For her advocacy, Linda promotes keeping the nature and environment clean as she states, “As human beings we always reject the dark, polluted, nostalgic, dead part, even if it is present in our lives, this is because we are really life, we long for and always look for what makes us feel more alive, in this case nature, healthy ecosystems , breathe clean air! Let's continue promoting life.”

There were only 9 candidates competing as Stacy Araya, the tenth candidate, withdrew from the competition without prior notice to the organization. The divas dazzled on the stage in their evening gowns and swimsuits but Linda stood out with her effortless performance and grace.
