The organization of Miss Earth Cuba hosted a ceremony for Miss Earth Cuba 2021 on 27th June 2021 at Cuba Ocho Little Havana in Miami, Florida, where Cynthia Linnet Lau was crowned as the new queen. She will now represent Cuba in Miss Earth 2021, succeeding Miss Earth Cuba 2020 Jennifer Sanchez Aguilar.

Cynthia is 25-years-old and is a trained dancer, an actress, and a pianist, and has appeared in various television commercials. She recently graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Nova Southeastern University.

The diva describes herself as ‘resilient, compassionate, and a survivor,’ because she shared, "When I was 13-years-old, I was diagnosed with a Gastro-Intestinal Tumor and my life would never be the same. The word CANCER is one of the scariest things for someone to hear, and so when it knocks on your door, you cry, hope, struggle, but above all else, you look for a cure. From that moment on, I have lived day by day to my utmost potential, because the path we choose to embark on is the one that we will work for. " Channelizing her personal experiences, the diva became a keen advocate for cancer research and started utilizing her voice as an outlet to tell her story on behalf of those affected by cancer and life-threatening illnesses, which she considers to be one of the biggest accomplishments in her life to date.

Cynthia is not new to the world of beauty pageants as she represented Cuba at Miss Queen of the Continents 2016 held in Dominican Republic and later at Miss Intercontinental 2018 held in Manila, Philippines where she was highly appreciated for her performance throughout the competition but unfortunately was not placed in the top spots.

She is dedicated, focused, and takes her dreams and ambitions seriously, and works hard to make them come true. She works avidly with the Make a Wish Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and describes her work with the American Cancer Society: Cancer Action Network as one of the best times in her life. Cynthia further explains, "My role as an intern, volunteer, and now ambassador for these organizations has allowed me to go to Congress and speak to legislators about the importance of medical research funding and cancer prevention."

After being crowned as Miss Earth Cuba 2021, the diva took to her social media to share the happiness and wrote, "I could not have been surrounded by more love and gratitude from the people I love most, my team, family, love & friends! And now, to make you all proud of our motherland, Sere Cuba."

The stunning Cuban beauty is confident, determined, and dedicated to preparing for the competition and making the Cuban people proud with her stellar performance on stage. Her experience will undoubtedly help her stand out in the competition, and her life lessons will keep her motivated and focused on the goal. She is extremely grateful for the opportunities that came her way and opened unexpected but amazing journeys across many platforms for her.

With her resilient attitude, experience, and her zeal to win, Cynthia Linnet Lau could emerge as one of the strongest contenders for the Miss Earth 2021 crown. She has started to prepare herself for the competition and believes that it is her passion for health, research, community, and empowerment that drives her to live a purposeful life.

Queen, congratulations!
