Karina Fariza Basrewan is the newly appointed Miss Earth Indonesia 2022 as she has become the official representative of Indonesia at Miss Earth 2022. Karina Fariza Basrewan is the alumnus of the University of Melbourne majoring in Media and Political Communications.

On winning the national title, Karina Fariza Basrewan took to her official social media as she wrote, “5 years later and she back. I’m so immensely grateful for all the love and support; it’s still such a surreal feeling to be getting back at it but with your positive encouragement and unconditional solace, ain’t no mountain high, no river wide enough that we can’t overcome.”

“To my family and friends, my support system who’s been there since day one - I wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you for believing in me, and cheering me on. I am blessed beyond measure. Pageant lovers can’t do this without you. Indonesia, this one’s for you”, she added.

Karina Basrewan has her own mission to promote Indonesian culture and diversity through clothing that will be used in the Miss Earth 2022 stage. In addition, Karina has advocacy on the conservation of endemic animals that are almost extinct in Indonesia. Through this event, Karina hopes to educate and spread awareness to the world community about the importance of caring for and preserving the environment by reducing carbon foodprints in daily activities.
