Ziphozethu Sithebe was appointed Miss Earth South Africa 2022 on Thursday, 29th September 2022 at the Southern Sun Rosebank in Johannesburg as she became the official representative of South Africa at Miss Earth 2022.
Ziphozethu Sithebe is 21 years of age. She is a TV personality and an aspiring pilot. Ziphozethu Sithebe succeeds and was crowned by Miss Earth South Africa 2021 Nompumelelo Maduna.
On making it as Miss Earth South Africa 2022, Ziphozethu Sithebe took to her official social media as she wrote, "Thank you [Miss Earth South Africa] for your belief in me. Thank you to my family, friends and all South Africans who supported my journey - what a journey it has been. I have no words to express how grateful I am to be Miss Earth SA 2022. The real work begins now.”
Also at the event, Nthabiseng Kgasi, Angelique Fourie and Melissa Lederle were adjudged as the runner-up and fellow ambassadors respectively. The environmentalist, former Miss Earth South Africa and now national director Catherine Constantinides was also present at the finale.
