At the gala finale of Miss Earth Mauritius 2016 held on 3rd September 2016 at a party at Ambre Resort & Spa Amber Korimdun was crowned as the winner. Amber succeeds Miss Earth Mauritius 2015 Katia Moochooram, and will now represent Mauritius at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant.

A total of twelve contestants competed for the coveted crown of Miss Earth Mauritius 2016. The finale of Miss Earth Mauritius 2016 was graced by the reigning Miss Earth Angelia Gabrena Ong. Amber excelled in all the segments to finally clinch the prestigious title.
he Miss Earth Mauritius 2016 is moving ahead with the axiom of spreading the importance of preserving the environment under the project, "Earth School Tour", wherein the winner of Miss Earth Mauritius will go to schools and educate young children about the importance of eco citizens’ gestures.
The role of the Miss Earth Mauritius winner is to conduct awareness campaigns to preserve the planet, including schools. Amber’s court includes Ramjun Sheba (Miss Air), Canarapen Katherina (Miss Water) and Vir Ginie (Miss Fire).
