The 20th edition of Miss Earth, i.e., Miss Earth 2020 is going to be held on 29th November 2020 and for the first time in history, Miss Earth will crown their new titleholder with a virtual coronation night due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The winner will succeed Miss Earth 2019 Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico for the title.
Elvira Jain who is representing Moldova at the competition has shown immense dedication towards the competition and have been performing exceptionally well at the preliminary activities of the beauty competition. She is 28-years-old and stands 178 cm tall; likes to know, learn, and discover new things as she wants to bring innovation and importance for the environment in her community. She also aspires to work towards protecting the animals and clean the oceans. Elvira is determined to use her platform to support and help in inventing some vaccine or real treatment for incurable diseases like cancer etc.
The diva is the granddaughter of the renowned scientist Ion Habasescu who has been working as a professional model since she was discovered at the age of 16. Even though she started working at a very young age, she has always given importance to her studies and did her graduation in Finance and MBA in Finance from London Business School
With her efforts and hard work, she the face of many brands and magazine covers. Her strong work ethics and positive attitude speaks of itself. She has worked with big brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Dior, Fendi etc. She has worked with big brands around the world, been on various magazine covers and many leading campaigns. She has also represented Moldova at Miss Tourism International 2009, Miss Charity in Taiwan and in World League of beauty and fashion where she was adjudged as the fourth runner-up.
Elvira believes that individuals who want to see the change in the world should try to change themselves first as that’s the first step to bringing in the change. She explained, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We need to protect our nature as our nature needs us and we need a healthy nature for our own health and good! Start making a sustainable choice for a better life in future.” She strongly believes that only by making sustainable and healthy lifestyle choices, we can try to not damage mother nature.
The diva is currently working on a new beauty technology that will change the world from using Botox or injections to a natural beauty process giving the same result, without the use of needles or pain. This process will make the skin healthy and natural. The organization of Miss Earth Moldova have stated that they are very proud of Elvira as her experience and dedication towards performing her best will help her to represent Moldova in the best way possible.
The president of Miss Earth Moldova; Ernet Hadrian stated, “Elvira is a role model for all Moldavian girls that want to achieve success abroad and definitely she is the one to promote the Moldavian values outside our country.” Elvira has big ambitions and goals and she wants to be the first Moldavian that appears on Forbes magazine. The diva likes to keep herself fit and maintain her figure by swimming and working out.
