Miss Earth New Zealand 2016 is slated to be held on April 30, 2016. The coveted winner of the pageant will get the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the upcoming edition Miss Earth 2016 pageant. At the end of the grand coronation gala, former Miss Earth New Zealand 2015, Anna Lisa Christianne will be passing on her crown to her successor.

The winner represents New Zealand in the international Miss Earth beauty pageant. The pageant was initiated in 2001 by Miss World New Zealand Ltd, under the directorship of Ros Taylor. In 2011, the New Zealand Asia Pacific Trust acquired the Miss Earth New Zealand franchise.
