Angela Rowson, a 22-year-old environmental science graduate from Wellington, has been crowned Miss Earth New Zealand 2024. The prestigious event, held at the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland, celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with a dazzling display of beauty, intelligence, and environmental advocacy.
Angela stood out among the finalists with her passion for sustainability and her commitment to raising awareness about climate change. During the competition, she impressed the judges with her eloquence, knowledge of environmental issues, and her project focused on marine conservation. Her advocacy centered around reducing plastic pollution in New Zealand’s coastal areas, a cause close to her heart.
