Record-making beauty queens at Miss Earth

Miss Earth beauty pageant began in 2001 as the pageant that advocates for environmental awareness, conservation and social responsibility. While the pageant is mostly held in Philippines since 2002, the most number of crowns also belong to the Philippines (4).

In the past five years, with two editions (2020 and 2021) being held virtually, every year history was created at Miss Earth. Take a look at the record-making beauty queens at Miss Earth –

Miss Earth 2018 Nguyen Phuong Khánh from Vietnam

Nguyen Phuong Khanh of Vietnam was crowned Miss Earth 2018 at the finale held on 3rd November 2018 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. This was Vietnam’s first victory at Miss Earth. Phuong Khánh was born and raised in B?n Tre Province, in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. In 2022, Thach Thu Thao placed in Top 20.

Miss Earth 2019 Nellys Pimentel from Puerto Rico

Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Earth 2019 at the finale held on 26th October 2019 at Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Philippines. Nellys made history by becoming the first ever winner from Puerto Rico to hold the Miss Earth crown. Before her, for almost a decade, the country remained unplaced.

Miss Earth 2020 Lindsey Coffey from USA

Miss Earth 2020, the 20th edition of Miss Earth, was held on 29th November 2020 where Lindsey Coffey of the United States was crowned the new queen at the end of the event finale. Miss Earth 2020 was the first ever virtual major beauty pageant. This marked the first time a delegate representing the United States won Miss Earth, becoming the fourth country to win all the Big Four international beauty pageants at least once.

Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner from Belize

Destiny Wager of Belize was crowned Miss Earth 2021 at the second virtual edition of Miss Earth. She is the first Belizean to win the Miss Earth title, and the first to win one of the four major international beauty pageant titles from her country.

Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi from South Korea

Miss Earth 2022, the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held tonight at Okada Manila in the Philippines where Mina Sue Choi of South Korea made history by becoming the first ever South Korean delegate to win the coveted crown. Not only that, she has become the first ever South Korean woman to win a Big-4 international beauty pageant.
