Miss Earth Panama organization held a private coronation ceremony as Anayansi Cristel De Gracia was crowned Miss Earth Panama 2020 on 22nd August 2020 at 7 PM and became the official representative of Panama in Miss Earth 2020. The organization did not hold an annual edition this year because of coronavirus pandemic scare all over the world.

From the Province of Chiriqui, Anayansi Cristel De Gracia is 20 years of age and a student of Electromechanical Engineering and Solid and Organic Waste Management at the National Parks and Environment Foundation of Panama. The organization made the announcement with her official photo and caption, “With the firm promise to work hard to obtain the first crown of [Miss Earth] and fill the entire Panamanian people with pride and happiness.”

Anayansi Cristel De Gracia took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “I want to start by thanking God for this great opportunity that He puts in my life, to my family to whom I simply owe everything and I dedicate this great success to the Miss Earth Panama Official Organization @missearthpanamaoficial for placing on me the crown that gives me the beautiful privilege of being called Panama before the world, I promise you that I will work very hard and without resting to raise the name of our beautiful Panama to achieve the long-awaited first crown of @missearthfor all of you.”

Anayansi succeeds Miss Earth Panama 2019 Marianna Fuentes who represented her country at Miss Earth 2019. Anayansi could not place in the Top 20 but won the silver medal (Americas) in National Costume Competition. Panama’s best placement in Miss Earth so far was Stefanie de Roux’s Top 8 finish in Miss Earth.
