Miss Earth Puerto Rico organization is all set to host the 2022 edition of the national pageant on 30th January 2022, as delegates from all over the country will compete for the national crown and to win an opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Earth 2022. 

As the organization is gearing up for the grand coronation ceremony, they have also invited the reigning Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner to grace the night as a special guest. The Miss Earth organization also confirmed her presence for the finale.

Recently Destiny Wagner was seen at the Miss Earth USA 2022 coronation as a special guest, after which she went on to experience a manatee sighting kayaking excursion at Blue Spring Park, Florida along with fellow queens, Miss Earth 2020 Lindsey Coffey and Miss Earth Air 2021 Marisa Paige Butler.

This event was held in partnership with the Miss Earth USA organization's charity gala fundraiser to support Save the Manatee. While the three Miss Earth representatives were only allowed a distanced view of the manatees swimming and feeding in their natural habitat, they learned some important facts about these gentle creatures that frequent the southeast United States waters.

The Miss Earth Puerto Rico pageant this year, will take on the theme ‘Colors of the Earth’. The organization also hosted the orientation for the new delegates in July where the reigning queen Cristina Mariel Ríos welcomed the new candidates.

The winner will succeed Cristina Mariel Ríos of San Sebastian, who has recently replaced Valerie Vigoreaux Cortés as the new Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021. Cristina represented Puerto Rico at Miss Earth 2021 but didn’t place in the Top 20. She did win gold medal in the Casual Chic competition.
