Miss Earth Puerto Rico organization has announced that they will soon reveal their new representative for the upcoming Miss Earth 2021 pageant. Valerie Vigoreaux Corte´s is no longer Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021 but no reason has been given for her dismissal.
The organization took to their official social media as they announced, “Soon the directors of the pageant will announce who will be the representative Miss Earth Puerto Rico in the international pageant, which is expected to take place in October of this year. We thank our fans and the media for their customary support of our contest whose purpose is to preserve, care for and protect our mother earth.”
Valerie Vigoreaux Corte´s was crowned Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021 in November 2020. The representative of the people of San Juan, Valerie Vigoreaux is the daughter of former senator and television presenter Roberto Vigoreaux.
As to Valerie’s replacement, Cristina Mariel, who was adjudged Miss Earth Water Puerto Rico 2021, seems like an ideal contender to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Earth 2021. Traveling since the last few days and looking very groomed, Cristina could be replacing Valerie as Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021. She is an environmental chemistry student and also the founder of Eco Amigos Puerto Rico.
Eco Amigos Puerto Rico, established in 2019, is a communicative environmental project aimed at young people in Puerto Rico. Cristina seems like an ideal contender with her advocacy for environment and confidence that she radiates around her.
Cristina also has a vocational certification in Animal Health and Horticulture. She is also the former president of the national organization Futuros Agricultores de América. She is also a volunteer in the CoCoPR organization where she works on a project to reproduce difficult-to-germinate coastal species.
