Miss Earth South Africa organization, through their official social media, appointed Belindé Schreuder, the first runner-up Miss Earth South Africa 2023, as the official representative of South Africa at Miss Earth 2023. However, Zabelo Hlabisa remains Miss Earth South Africa 2023 and will be working on the other projects in South Africa.

Born in Lephalale, Limpopo, Belindé Schreuder is 27 years of age and a professional makeup artist by profession. Always an adventurer, Belinde’s younger years were spent on her grandfather’s farm in Bela Bela, where she formed a strong connection with nature and animals.

Not new to the pageant world, Belinde holds multiple titles such as Miss Supranational South Africa 2018, Miss Grand International South Africa 2020, Miss United Continents South Africa 2018, and World Supermodel South Africa 2017. At international platforms, Belinde placed fourth runner-up at Miss United Continents 2018 in Ecuador, and Top 21 at Mis Grand International 2019 in Venezuela.

Miss Earth South Africa 2023 Zabelo Hlabisa also congratulated Belinde on her appointment as she wrote, "Congratulations to Belindé. Now, let's work for that international stage. I am with you and I will support you all the way! I am excited for your journey. Let us go represent our rainbow nation and show them what we are made of. Our Sisterhood is about to be lit!"

Miss Earth 2023, the 23rd edition of Miss Earth, will be held in Vietnam on 16th December 2023 where Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi of South Korea will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
