30 Jun 2021 | Angelique Reyes

After their debut at last year’s virtual pageant, Syria is all set to once again send another stunning delegate for this the 2021 edition of Miss Earth 2021. Anji Al-Saleh has been crowned as the second woman to represent the Middle Eastern country in Miss Earth. Anji succeeds Miss Earth Syria 2020 Tiya Alkerdi, who represented Syria as a debut country at Miss Earth 2020 but unfortunately remained unplaced.

The Sawsan International Foundation crowned Anji Al-Saleh as the official delegate in a private ceremonial photoshoot. On behalf of Dr. Sawsan El-Sayed, the former Miss Lebanon and the founder of the foundation, the brilliant artist Jenny Esber imitated the crowning and the sashing in a photo session in nature and in a springtime atmosphere in Damascus.

In a speech following her crowning, the queen said, “There is no feeling of joy or pride compared to my feeling when I was crowned with this title. My dear country, Syria, may God bless you and provide you with safety, peace and love. Thank you to the international Sawsan and the beautiful representative of Syria, Jenny Esber, who shared the joy with me.”

Anji has been currently preparing for her international stint at full swing. She is passionate towards representing Syria and is definitely a stunning contender for the crown. With her former experience with the camera, she is confident and can be a powerful delegate. She is very grateful for the organization who believed in her and trusted her with the title of Miss Earth Syria 2021.

Anji, who started modeling three years ago, will participate in the upcoming international pageant, Miss Earth, which will be held in the Philippines this fall. Miss Earth 2021 will be the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant where Lindsey Marie Coffey of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event.
