The Alsawasn International organization has appointed Sanaa Atia as the new Miss Earth Syria 2021 as she will be representing the country at the upcoming Miss Earth 2021 pageant. Sawsan Elsayed, the organization’s national director posted the same, congratulating the new queen through her social media.

“I’m more than honored and excited to represent Syria through Al Sawsan International, the exclusive agent for Lebanon and Syria in the 2021 Miss Earth beauty pageant which will be held online with the participation of beauty queens all around the world,” Sanaa shared.

23 years-old Sanaa is no stranger to the pageant world as she was named Miss Asia Syria 2021 earlier this year. If all goes well, she will be the second woman to represent a Middle Eastern country in the Miss Earth contest. Prior to this, the 2020 Miss Earth Syrian Tiya Alkerdi was the first woman representing the Middle East and Syria to participate in Miss Earth. Unfortunately, Tia Arcdi remained unplaced at the end of the event.

Anji Al Saleh was crowned as the Miss Earth Syria 2021 in June 2021 but she offered to quit the title and she resigned from the competition and returned the crown, due to personal reasons. Syria debuted in 2020 and has yet to win the Miss Earth crown.

Now, the new queen, Sanaa Atia will represent Syria at the upcoming Miss Earth 2021 pageant. Miss Earth 2021 will be the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant, to be held in November 2021. This is the second time that the pre-pageant activities and coronation night will be conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Congratulations queen!
