Miss Earth pageant, which began in 2001, is an international pageant based in Philippines that advocates for environment conservation and awareness for the cause. Although it started fairly later, Miss Earth is considered as one of the Major4 International Beauty Pageants across the world with strong productions and a cause that affects the entire world.
Lets take a look at the Miss Earth winners through the decade (2020 – till now) –
Miss Earth 2020 – Lindsey Coffey of USA
The 20th edition of Miss Earth was a special one; due to the spread of covid-19, Miss Earth 2020 became the first virtual coronation of any major pageant in the world. At the end of the event finale, Lindsey Coffey of USA was crowned Miss Earth 2020 who created history by becoming the first ever winner of Miss Earth from United States of America.
Also at the finale, Stephany Zreik of Venezuela was adjudged as Miss Earth – Air 2020, Roxie Baeyens of the Philippines was adjudged as Miss Earth – Water 2020, while Michala Rubinstein of Denmark was adjudged as Miss Earth – Fire 2020.
Miss Earth 2021 – Destiny Wagner of Belize
The 21st edition of Miss Earth was also held virtually on 21st November 2021 due to ongoing covid-19 where Destiny Wagner of Belize was crowned Miss Earth 2021 and created history once again. This was the first time Belize won Miss Earth pageant and any of the four Big Four International Beauty Pageant.
Also at the finals, Marisa Butler of the United States was awarded Miss Earth – Air 2021, Romina Denecken of Chile was awarded as Miss Earth – Water 2021 and Jareerat Petsom of Thailand was adjudged as Miss Earth – Fire 2021.
Miss Earth 2022 – Mina Sue Choi of Korea
Mina Sue Choi was crowned Miss Earth 2022 at the finals of the 22nd edition of Miss Earth pageant held at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines on 29th November 2022. Mina Sue Choi also created history by becoming the first South Korean to win the Miss Earth crown.
Her elemental court included Sheridan Mortlock of Australia as Miss Earth-Air 2022, Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine as Miss Earth-Water 2022, and Andrea Aguilera of Colombia as Miss Earth-Fire 2022.
Miss Earth 2023 – Drita Ziri of Albania
The decade for Miss Earth started with history being created at the international platform and continued to the 23rd edition of Miss Earth where Drita Ziri of Albania was crowned Miss Earth 2023 at the finale of the international pageant held at V?n Phúc City in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 22nd December 2023. This also became the first time where Albania won a Big Four International pageant and Drita also became youngest winner of Miss Earth at 18 years of age.
Her elemental court included Yllana Marie Aduana of Philippines as Miss Earth – Air 2023, Ð? Th? Lan Anh of Vietnam as Miss Earth – Water 2023 and Cora Bliault of Thailand as Miss Earth – Fire 2023.
