Miss Earth Uganda 2015 contestants have been revealed during a press presentation and the batch looks promising. On August 30’ 2015 the contestants will be participating at talent and national costume round. As no pictures and updates about the contestants are available on their official website, many pictures are available on internet, which makes it evident that the girls this year are extremely good and all are winner material.

The Miss Earth Uganda 2015 is also special this year for the country as it is taking place after a gap of six years. The first representative from Uganda to Miss Earth was in the year 2002 when Martha Semegura Nambajjwe. The second representative was Hellen Karungi who represented in the year 2007 and the third and final representative was Victoria Nabagereka who competed in the year 2008. Uganda’s performance in the Miss Earth pageant has not been any good so far, but going by the contestants this year, it looks like the country is all prepared to hit the internationals.

The finale of Miss Earth Uganda 2015 is slated to be held on September 5’ 2015 at the Imperial Royale hotel in Kampala. Miss Earth Uganda pageant aims at empowering women with knowledge on how to protect the environment. Andrew Kyamagero, the public relations officer of Miss Earth Uganda said that the contestants were selected through auditions in different districts since February. “The young ladies are going to be somewhere in Kampala but we cannot disclose because we don’t want them to be disturbed by relatives and friends.”

“The winner will receive a brand new car, an allowance, an apartment and will participate in all Miss Earth activities in Uganda. She will also represent Uganda in the Miss Earth 2015 finals to be held in Austria later this year,” he added.
