The Miss Egypt organization recently announced Diana Hamed as the official representative of Egypt for Miss Eco International 2022. The diva succeeded Miss Eco Egypt 2020 Basma Dawoud to the title. She will now represent Egypt at the international pageant.

Diana is a graduate from Hult Business School of London and boasts of an iconic portfolio as a pageant veteran as she won one of the most prestigious titles of the country, the Miss Egypt Universe in 2019. The Hungarian-Egyptian beauty queen began her modelling career at a young age of fourteen. Since then, she has done a boatload of modelling assignments. As a matter of fact, she received the call back from the pageant organisers of Miss Egypt Universe 2019 while she was busy with one of her assignments in Singapore.

Hamed believes that beauty goes deeper than the surface and says, “Women appreciate the fact that I am not very thin and that I competed in the pageant based on my inner beauty. I don’t really care about being skinny. I’m not on a certain diet and I don’t even really work out. I accept myself the way I am, and I think this is what makes me look good. Having the right mentality supports your mental health.”

“This is what makes younger girls look and feel good too. We need to promote the notion that if you’re accepting of yourself and you’re happy, you will look good no matter what. Shining from the inside is more important than shining on the outside,” she further added.

The 7th version of Miss Eco International is set to be held on March 14, 2022 in Cairo, Egypt; where candidates from more than 30 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the international title and crown for 2 weeks. At the end of the event, Miss Eco International 2021 Gizzelle Uys from South Africa will crown her successor as Miss Eco International 2022.

Congratulations to the new queen!
